Description
Intro to Acupuncture Capacity Building as Humanitarian Aid
This is an introductory webinar designed for educators, Acupuncture Detoxification Specialists acupuncturists, doctors, and organizations in other international settings wanting to develop a Barefoot Acupuncture program. This course is also a pre-requisite for anyone wanting to volunteer with us, or apply to be a part of our Barefoot Collective. We will outline some of the basic components of building a successful, and culturally competent Barefoot Acupuncture program.
We’ll open up the can of what can go wrong with and what are the limitations of outside humanitarian aid support, and where that leaves something like acupuncture. You’ll gain an overview of how Barefoot Acupuncture and acudetox operate in challenging contexts in response to poverty, violence, and disaster relief, with in depth analysis of successful long-term Barefoot programs that we have available to learn from in the history of Barefoot Acupuncture and the NADA protocol.
